Quincy Green

Last weekend we painted our white front porch rockers Black Forest Green, also known as Quincy Green. It’s the color that folks here in Quincy traditionally use to paint their shutters. You see, pretty much all the houses in town are snow white with black-green shutters. It’s quite a lovely look.

I’m really happy with the way the dark green chairs stand out now against our white-painted porch, but I hate the way all the pots and planters are empty. That’s just sad. I’m thinking about running to Walmart and filling my cart with 99-cent poinsettias. . . .
