Recent Felties

In the last couple months, I’ve made a few felties—a teddy bear, a butterfly, a ladybug, and a snail. Working on them was so fun and relaxing. I made the little snail while sitting on the couch in the living room with my dear cat friends Carl, Becky, and Fran, who are 17 years old now. I loved spending the morning with them. Sometimes they were napping, but other times they were batting my thread or digging in my shoebox full of sewing notions like they were still kittens.

Even though it’s fall, all the felties I made were for my Easter tree. I should have made some little bats and ghosts for my Halloween tree, but I didn’t and now Halloween’s over! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but it always seems to sneak up on me. Oh, well, I’ll try to do better next year!
